I’ll be back on Thursday to show you our kitchen and breakfast room for the tour, and here are the other blogs that are sharing today. In the end, I decided that most of our events in our Dining Room and celebratory in nature, so a little extra sparkle never hurt, and I love how it looks now. I kept coming back to this one, even though with the brass and so much crystal I knew it would make the room feel very formal. Previously we’d had the craftsman style light that the builder left (very builder basic) and I’d been on the search for the perfect chandelier for over a year. I love how much sparkle it adds to the space. The biggest change in here is that we also added a new chandelier just in time for Thanksgiving. I simplified the tree in here back to just gold and silver, moved the green pillows and ornaments over to the living room and once Thanksgiving was over, I added a few other decorations to the surfaces in the room.
You would think I’d have been done changing things at this point, but once I put up our Living Room tree I decided I didn’t want the beautiful vintage ornaments on the tree that was tucked into a corner of the Dining Room and instead, I wanted them front and center on our large family room tree (which I’ll show you next week).
I found some vintage ornaments in the same color at the Lucketts Holiday Market and decided to switch the tree in here over to my new color scheme just in time to shoot the photos for the Greenleaf Gifts post. After bringing home the pretty blue/green velvet pillows, I started down a green path.
